MTX AUDIO WINS TWO GM DESIGN AWARDS AT 2006 SEMA SHOW

(PHOENIX, AZ, USA)— MTX Audio, the leading U.S. manufacturer of
high-performance car audio products, was selected by General Motors as the
recipient of two GM Design Awards for two newly built show vehicles at the
recent Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, NV.
The two new vehicles were chosen by GM’s design staff as being one of the
trend setters in the automotive aftermarket industry.

GM Director of Design of Specialty Vehicles Kip Wasenko presented the
prestigious awards along with Bob Kern, GM’s SEMA relations consultant.
Wasenko commented on the teamwork necessary to complete these automotive
masterpieces from concept to reality. Teamwork was the staple of success for
MTX’s two awarded vehicles.

A 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged was the canvas for “Best Sport
Compact”, where MTX featured 8 – 10-inch MTX Thunder7500 subwoofers, 2 –
MTX Thunder TA7801 amplifiers, 1 – TA7804 amplifier, 4pr - TX6001 6.5-inch
speakers, Hushmat sound deadening material, and StreetWires electrical
accessories. Tom Bostic took the direction of MTX’s design team and built
this tuner dream car in less than 3 weeks. The exterior produced a dramatic
appearance that includes a new carbon fiber hood and body kit from Import
Trenz
, custom air suspension, custom paint by Kreative Kustoms, and a wheel
and tire package by Privat and BF Goodrich. The Cobalt’s performance package
includes an AEM Cold Air Induction Kit, SSBC brakes with the MTX logo custom
machined into the calipers, Autometer gauges, Vibrant Performance
intercooler, and Nitrous Express system.

The second GM Design Award, “Best GM Interior,” was given to MTX for the
work and creativity put into a 2006 Buick Lucerne. Suicide doors, custom
suede and alligator skin upholstery, Hushmat sound deadening material,
Kinetik batteries, Sony PS2, Kenwood DVD/CD player and LCD screens, and MTX
Thunder Axe High-End component speaker 3-way systems in the doors, MTX
Thunder amplifiers, and MTX 15-inch Thunder9500 series subwoofers were
meticulously integrated into a cohesive interior that defines the best in
luxury and I.C.E. (In Car Entertainment). Jason Kranitz and his crew at
KingPin Car Audio and Motoring were the artists behind the build and
installation of the custom interior. On the exterior, Incubus Alloy wheels,
Michelin tires, Flowmaster exhaust, custom E&G Classics grille, custom paint
by JP Customs, and a body kit by Razzi provide an aggressive yet classy
look. MTX’s Buick Lucerne was also the recipient of a GM Concept Award.

“This program illustrates MTX's ability to effectively partner with other
successful people and companies to cater to the consumer’s growing
enthusiasm for automotive performance and styling,” stated John Ivey,
Director of Mobile Audio for the Mitek Corporation.  “We are very honored to
have received these awards from General Motors. We worked day and night to
make these vehicles happen. This was a team effort with help from our
friends, Tom Bostic, Jason Kranitz, Tim Armstrong, and Jared Pulver. These
people and our partners inside MTX are all enthusiasts ourselves and that’s
what puts us head and shoulders above our competition.”

MTX’s new show vehicles will be on display again at the 2007 Consumer
Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, January 8th through the 11th in booth #
1001 in the North Hall.
